We are delighted to host Strings 2026, the 36^th instalment of Strings — the annual conference for the extended string theory community. Building on the success of hosting Strings 2006 and 2016 in China, we are proud to carry on this tradition in Shanghai.

The conference brings together leading researchers from around the world to discuss the latest developments and explore cutting-edge ideas in string theory, quantum gravity, and quantum field theory. As one of the most anticipated gatherings in theoretical physics, Strings 2026 provides a vital platform for sharing knowledge, fostering collaboration, and pushing the boundaries of our understanding of the fundamental laws of nature.

The program will feature plenary and invited lectures, a gong show, and dedicated poster sessions between formal talks.
